Apple Makes The Shit List!

Posted by TheGhost Sat Oct 29, 2022 12:54 pm

Update Safari on Windows PC
Apple no longer offers Safari updates for Windows. Safari 5.1.7 for Windows was the last version made for Windows, and it is now outdated.
Hey Appple go phuck yourself! These arrogant assholes just out of the blue decided to phuck windows end-users! Another try at cornering technology.
I will never buy another Apple device as long as I live and you might do good to feel the same way.

If a website is not displaying correctly or says that your browser is out of date

If a website says that Safari is out of date even though you're already using the latest version of macOS or the latest version of iOS or iPadOS, more than likely it is because you own a piece of shit!

I was an avid Mac and iOS fan until I saw that they stopped supporting windows end-users. I took my iPad out in my backyard and poured gasoline on it and lit it on fire. I'm posting this from my Windows PC because after going to the apple.com website and getting pissed I took a 12gauge shotgun and smoked my Mac!

I have something for the Apple corporation, these nuts!

Apple everything!
The Apple website states that “it’s easy to switch to iPhone”. And I can’t disagree. What’s almost impossible is switching from an iPhone, as Apple uses every method to keep you locked down in its ecosystem. Difficult cross-platform communication and file transfer, Apple-only features, proprietary tech and hardware, everything is designed to leave you out of options.

IOS disables camera with no data
So I was recently at a festival, and almost my entire campsite uses iPhone. They were all bitching because they couldn't even record a video because they had no data. There was about a hundred thousand people on one cell tower so it wasn't a service issue it was a bandwidth issue. But nonetheless, Apple apparently uses data and AI just so the basic camera can function. And without data you can't even take a picture... I believe this is a new feature of one of the new iOS updates. But I can tell you more than half the people there were fucking pissed...

Do you own a Mac?
If you do, I can promise you that burning your money would be more productive!

I kinda think maybe Steve Jobs was a prick sometimes but then I realize that other people are responsible for the dumb ass decisons they have made since he is no longer with us. I kinda think maybe he is rolling in his grave.

Apple has certainly turned into a shit show, and I am embarrassed to say I was ever a Mac fan, and wow for so many years.

My friends told me for years that Mac was garbage and why did I own one. I would always say video editing as an easy out. Truth is, I just wanted one because they were so expensive and like rich people do I bought one of the sorry mother fuckers.

I would like to say that I hope the Apple building burns down with all of the corporate advisors inside. It's such a sweet vision in my mind of all of them running out on fire or jumping out windows and falling to a horrible death! I've been curbing my violent nature by trying not to imagine myself stabbing them to death one by one!

I always thought the unabomber had to be crazy but maybe he owned an Apple product. I'm not saying it's right, but I understand... Theodore Kaczynski claimed the thing that made him snap and turn into the unabomber was that his iPod would not play a particular song that it had always played before. When this happened he considered killing his mother but thought he would have a lot more fun if he just made some bombs and shit.

You see Apple is much more than just a piece of shit company, they are responsible for the deaths of many people!

Sincerely,
Ernest Allen Buffington

Where did we get The 86it Network name?

Posted by TheGhost Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:07 pm

The 86it Developers Network name and how we came to use it:

Eighty-six or 86 is American English slang used to indicate that an item is no longer available, or used when referring to a person or people who are not welcome in or on the premises. Its etymology is unknown but seems to have been coined in the 1920s or 1930s. It is used in programming as nix, or 86. i.e. I'm going to 86 this class or function and replace it with a newer better one etc...

The idea is to 86 any software you currently use by creating something new or modifying something to make it better or even totally replacing it, like with PHP-Nuke Titanium because it gets the job done much faster and better.

The term is now more generally used to mean getting rid of someone, or something. In the 1970s, its meaning expanded to refer to murder. i.e Lets murder this code by adding some dope functions with faster routines.

According to the online Merriam-Webster dictionary, it means to "refuse to serve (a customer)", to "get rid of" or "throw out" someone or something.

Agent 86 in the 1960s TV show Get Smart gets his code number from the term.

And now many moons later we use it for The 86it  Developers Network because many of our new members 86 their current News, Forum or Blog software and begin to use PHP-Nuke Titanium.

Sincerely,
Ernest Allen Buffington

Adobe has made it to the shit list!

Posted by TheGhost Fri Aug 26, 2022 7:54 pm

A specific era of the world-wide-web is going to be really pissed when Adobe officially discontinues its Shockwave multimedia platform, bought it, and shut it down. You might want to get in a final round in your favorite browser-based game but, more than anything, you should use this moment to send as many e-mails to Adobe letting them know that they are on a shit list that they do not want to be on.

Adobe began notifying enterprise customers about the impending demise of Shockwave by email and also posted a notice on its website that the platform for interactive interfaces and games will be discontinued on April 9, 2019. The company said that the rise of technologies like HTML5 Canvas and WebGL was the reason for its decision to end support for Shockwave and the shutdown has been in the works for years. I guess that would have been nice for the thousands of people who dedicated a large portion of their life practicing and learning how to work with Flash, not to mention the customers that they kept selling Flash to when they knew they were going to phuck us all.

In its mid-aughts heyday, Shockwave was used by designers to create fancy splash pages for websites, interactive CD-ROMs, and web games. Like its sister software Flash, it was developed by Macromedia before that company was acquired by Adobe in 2005. Both applications came to define an era of over-complicated animated interfaces and simple time-wasting video games. In recent years, the once-ubiquitous programs have become a security liability says some numb nut somewhere while updates were being deprioritized. The Shockwave player for macOS was already discontinued in 2017 and it will no longer be available for Windows next month.

Some say Shockwave was more like a TurboGrafx-16 than a Super Nintendo but they are just new gen dipshits that have not even seen or can't fathom what can be done when a programmer spends years practicing creating content, most of which will likely fall into obscurity. Sites that specialize in free-to-play web games have migrated to newer technologies and spicey Cheetos, it's going to be increasingly rare to even find a CD-ROM on newer PCs more than likely. Organizations like the Internet Archive will surely step up their efforts to preserve what they can from the Shockwave-era, but that special period when every button had an animated rollover and three distinct sounds for mouse interaction will be widely forgotten by the new generation of shit heads who killed it. A new generation of lazy phucks living off mom and daddy, too lazy to take the trash out or wash their asses.

Working from home for Adobe will be the future and many other software companies will all be going to pay-to-play windows apps. Soon long will be gone of the days when you bought software and got free updates because that was the thing to do. No Adobe and Microsoft and many others will want to charge for versioning up or even monthly use. They have been lubing up their long data dongs so they can ram it up our digital asses in the future. Mark my words every software company in your imagination is getting out their KY and gonna stick it to all us END users.

Adobe says it will continue Shockwave support for enterprise customers who have contracts until 2022, shows you what a bunch of fucking assholes they have working over at Adobe. Anyone else might want to go ahead and just remove the application from their computer. In January, security researchers at Avast found that Shockwave was the most commonly out-of-date program that it observed on users’ machines. Software that isn’t consistently updated poses a much greater risk of containing security flaws that can be taken advantage of by bad actors says the fuckheads that wanted to kill it and all because they were too fucking stupid to learn how to use it...

Rumor has it that Microsoft and Adobe are going to be giving each other a reach around and are planning to go the extra mile when they fuck us by making it so we cant even view or execute things that we spent years learning designing and writing. As a developer, I can tell you that a very large portion of the population that has a brain as big as Brad are going to be some really pissed-off geeks!

In advance we will be shit listing Adobe and we only wish Macromedia would never have sold out and I guess we should all be just as pissed at the money grubbing fuckwits that sold it, only for it to be shut down, Macromedia once upon a time was the shit.

I would like to take a moment to apologize for my language, however, it may not be right but I'm sure you understand!

Sincerely,
Ernest Allen Buffington

New Members List Module

Posted by TheGhost Tue May 18, 2021 8:29 am

Module Name: Members List
Author: Ernest Allen Buffington
Contributor: Lonestar (http://lonestar-modules.com)
Version: v4.0.0
License: GNU General Public License version 2
Core: PHP-Nuke Titanium v.3.0.1b <> 4.0.0b
Description: Website Member List - Search Website Member List.

This module appeared to be incomplete and broken. The status of the users in the user list did not reflect if the user was currently online or offline. The user's website icon was missing, the user's Facebook icon was missing and the gender icon was missing as well. The members' list was written with a task and a goal to begin with and that was to automate finding and sending a user message or visiting a user's website. We did not add the user's email back to the search criteria of the member list as it is not needed. Send them a private message instead and the web portal will send them an email telling them they have a new message waiting for them.

Added Features:

  • The only users visible in the members list are members that are not in Ghost Mode
  • Search Engines and website members have no way of knowing just how many website members really exist (Ghost Mode allows visitors to be 100% invisible)
  • Added global Ghost Mode ability for all users
  • Added the ability for admins to see who is in Ghost Mode
  • Added Ghost Mode - You are now invisible when you hide your online status. It will appear as if you do not exist!
  • Added A Profile Pic
  • Added Private Message Icon
  • Added a Website Icon that only shows up if the member has a website listed on their profile
  • Added a Facebook icon that only shows up if the user has their Facebook account listed on their profile.
  • Added New Gender Icons
  • Fixed users online status in the members list as it was not working
  • Added animated ONLINE image
  • Fixed users offline status in the members list as it was not working
  • Added animated OFFLINE image
  • If the person has marked theirself hidden on their profile, only admins can see them in the member list
  • If a person leaves the Location field blank it defaults to The Interwebs

If you're 50 or older this will be a handy little tool. If you're like me almost everyone you ever loved or cared about is dead. This makes it easier to keep track of all the friends and loved ones you have that die. I have lost so many I can't recall them all in one sitting.

If you're a serial killer you can keep track of all the people you kill as well.

Enjoy

We just upgraded cPanel

Posted by TheGhost Fri May 14, 2021 9:58 pm

We just upgraded cPanel from v94.0.8 to v96.0.7 Fri May 14 21:53:24 2021

This message is for the PHP-Nuke Titanium admins that have cPanel access. We did not want you logging in a freaking out because of all the changes that took place today. If you are an admin you probably have compiler access already but if you do not and would like to have compiler access enabled on your personal 86it portal just use the chat plugin by clicking on the blue circle in the bottom left-hand corner. You can request compiler acess anytime you like. We do not leave compilers accessible 24/7 so you will have 24 hours from the time of request before your compiler goes back offline.

We also upgraded from CENTOS v6 to CENTOS v7.9 Fri May 14 21:53:24 2021
